Meet Dr. Kelechi Okafor
Dr. Kelechi Okafor believes a confident smile can change lives — at
work, at home, and in the community.
A first-generation Nigerian American with roots in both North Carolina
and Texas, Dr. Okafor shares the values of family, education, and
resilience with many of her patients in Richmond, Katy, Sugar Land,
and across Greater Houston.
Her journey began as a dental hygienist, where she saw firsthand how
much a healthy smile can transform a person’s confidence. She earned
her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from UNC–Chapel Hill and later
her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University, followed
by advanced training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
With over 15 years of dental experience across hospital, military,
public health, and private practice dentistry, Dr. Okafor brings the
best of each into her work at Pampered Smiles Dentistry. Patients
appreciate her gentle touch, attention to detail, and dedication to
making every visit comfortable and stress-free.
Beyond Dentistry
Outside the office, Dr. Okafor is a proud wife and mom of two. She
enjoys traveling, live music, and staying active — you may even catch
her on the Peloton leaderboard (tarheelkelz, add her!).
She loves connecting with people not just as patients, but as
